Description

Vent Zone Technology: The barrel includes a specialized "vent zone" near the top (marked with a visible line or textured area).
- How it works: To start a gravity feed, you pull the plunger gasket back into this zone. This allows air to enter and displace the fluid, enabling the feed to flow downward by gravity without removing the plunger from the barrel.
- Benefit: Unlike traditional gravity feeds that require removing the plunger (an "open system"), this keeps the system closed to airborne contaminants.
Integrated Hanger: The syringe features an expandable loop/hanger at the top of the barrel, allowing you to hang it from an IV pole or the side of a bassinet for hands-free administration.
Eccentric (Off-Center) Tip: The tip is positioned at the very edge of the barrel. When oriented correctly during a feed, this ensures that nutrient-dense lipids (fats), which naturally float, are delivered to the patient first rather than getting stuck in the syringe "dead space."
Legacy Orange Connector: Features the non-threaded, slip-style "Enteral Only" tip. It is designed to be incompatible with Luer-lock (IV) lines but is not compatible with the modern purple threaded ENFit standard.
Self-Righting Tip Cap: Each syringe comes with a NeoSecure plugged tip cap that can stand upright on a flat surface, promoting aseptic technique during filling and transport.
