Description

The SC-2EO (NeoMed NeoCollectâ„¢ line) is a 2 oz. (60 mL) specialized collection container designed for the aseptic capture, storage, and transfer of human breast milk (HBM) and formula. It is specifically designed for use with Legacy "EO" (Enteral Only) slip-tip syringes.

Key Features

  • Integrated Transfer Lid: Equipped with a pre-assembled lid featuring a specialized port for Legacy "EO" slip-tip syringes. This allows clinicians to draw up nutrition directly into a syringe without removing the cap.

  • Concave Floor Geometry: The internal base is uniquely sloped toward the center to ensure that every milliliter of nutrition can be extracted, reducing waste of high-value breast milk.

  • Pump Compatibility: Features standard threading compatible with most hospital-grade breast pump shields (e.g., Medela), allowing for direct "pump-to-container" collection.

  • Aseptic System: Conforms to ADA and ASPEN guidelines for aseptic handling. By maintaining a closed system during transfer, it significantly reduces the risk of touch contamination.

  • High-Contrast Graduations: Features bold, permanent black markings in 1.0 mL increments (up to 60 mL) for precise volume tracking and easy mixing of additives/fortifiers.

  • Lipid Protection: Manufactured from medical-grade polypropylene that does not bind with or absorb the essential fats (lipids) in breast milk, preserving the full caloric density for the infant.

  • Anti-Roll Base: Designed with a flat-edge base to provide stability on bedside tables and prevent the container from rolling if tipped.

  • Safety Profile: Completely Latex-free, DEHP-free, and BPA-free to ensure the safety of neonatal and pediatric patients.

  • Color-Coded Identification: The transfer lid and markings typically use Orange or Purple to signal compatibility with legacy oral/enteral systems.
