AcrySof UV-absorbing acrylic single-piece posterior chamber lenses are optical implants for the replacement of the human crystalline lens in the visual correction of aphakia in adult patients following cataract surgery.
The optical portion consists of a high refractive index soft acryloc material.
These lenses have biconvex optics and supporting haptics of the AcrySof soft acrylic lens material.
This material is capable of being folded prior to insertion.
The lens gently unfolds to a full-size lens body following implantation.
