The Aspira Pleural Drainage Catheter is a tunneled, long-term catheter used to drain accumulated fluid from the pleural cavity to relieve symptoms associated with malignant pleural effusion and other recurrent pleural effusions.
The Catheter is easy to insert and the system is simple to use and provides a compassionate treatment option for patients.
The system drains 67% faster than the Pleurx Drainage System and is 71% larger at its narrowest point than the Pleurx Drainage System.
When compared to thoracentesis and paracentesis, the Aspira Drainage System may allow patients to drain fluid and manage their symptoms without repeated trips to the hospital.
