Description

The Avanos CT-NSP is a sterile NeoMed* Catheterization Tray designed for high-acuity neonatal procedures. This specific "all-in-one" configuration is characterized by the exclusion of saline and the inclusion of a specialized Penblade® safety scalpel.

It is engineered for three primary critical access procedures in the NICU: umbilical vessel catheterization (UAC/UVC), chest tube insertion, and IV cut-downs.

Key Features

  • Penblade® Safety Scalpel: Features a safety-engineered scalpel with a retractable blade to minimize the risk of sharps injuries in high-stress clinical environments.

  • "No Saline" Optimization: Specifically configured for facilities that prefer to supply their own pre-filled saline or heparin flushes, reducing procedural waste.

  • Micro-Iris Forceps: Includes specialized, fine-tipped forceps essential for the delicate dilation of neonatal umbilical vessels.

  • Fenestrated NeoDrape: Includes a transparent 24" x 24" drape that allows clinicians to maintain full visualization of the infant and ensures radiant heat reaches the patient during the procedure.

  • Matte-Finish Instrumentation: Surgical instruments feature a matte finish to reduce glare from overhead procedural lights, enhancing visibility for the clinician.

  • All-In-One Organization: Ensures that all necessary surgical-grade instruments are organized in a single, sterile, stackable tray to save time during emergencies.
