Description
This model is the Styleted (includes a guide wire) and Non-Sterile version of the 5 Fr pediatric line. The AIV2 suffix indicates it is equipped with the ANTI-IV* safety connector (Legacy Yellow Safety Port), which was the precursor to the modern ENFit standard.

5 French Ultra-Thin Bore: Specifically designed for neonates and infants to reduce nasal trauma and ensure the tube does not interfere with the patient's breathing.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a stainless steel guide wire. Because a 5 Fr tube is extremely flexible, the stylet provides the necessary rigidity for the clinician to guide the tube into the stomach accurately.
ANTI-IV* Safety Connector: This proprietary connector is designed to be incompatible with standard Luer-lock and Luer-slip syringes. This prevents the accidental administration of enteral formula into an IV line.
36-inch Extended Reach: While many 5 Fr tubes are shorter (15–22 inches), this 36-inch version is used for larger pediatric patients or clinical setups requiring more external tubing.
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: The tube is non-weighted to maximize patient comfort. The clear bolus at the tip allows for easy visual inspection of the tube for clogs or residue.
Medical-Grade Polyurethane: Offers higher tensile strength than silicone, allowing for thinner walls and a larger internal lumen to ensure consistent flow of breast milk or specialized infant formulas.
