Description

6 French "Neonatal-Plus" Diameter: A common size in the NICU for infants who have grown out of 5 Fr tubes. The 6 Fr size offers a better balance for delivery of higher-viscosity medications while remaining gentle on the nasal passages.
15-Inch (38 cm) Length: Sized specifically for neonatal and small infant anatomy. This prevents the "spaghetti effect" of having too much external tubing, which is a significant safety hazard for babies in incubators or those being held.
Non-Weighted (Bolus) Tip: The plain, non-weighted tip is preferred for infants because it is lighter and more flexible, minimizing the risk of mucosal irritation or pressure in the small gastric space.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: This material is much stronger than silicone, allowing for a functional internal diameter despite the small size. It is also resistant to the "softening" that can occur with gastric acid exposure.
C-19* Water-Activated Lubricant: The internal lumen is pre-lubricated. When water or saline is flushed through the tube, the lubricant becomes extremely slippery, ensuring the placement stylet can be removed without "dragging" the tube out of position.
Radiopaque Stripe: The entire tube is visible under X-ray, which is the required clinical standard to confirm the tip is safely in the stomach before initiating a feed.
