ANTI-IV* Safety Connector: The "AIV2" designation stands for Anti-IV. This connector is uniquely designed to not accept Luer lock or standard Luer slip syringes. This was an early safety innovation to prevent the accidental connection of enteral (feeding) sets to intravenous (IV) lines.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a pre-inserted stainless steel guide wire. This provides the rigidity needed for controlled and accurate placement. The stylet is removed and discarded once the tube's position in the stomach or small bowel is confirmed.
10 French Mid-Bore: A versatile diameter that balances patient comfort with high flow rates. It is less prone to clogging than smaller 8 Fr tubes while remaining flexible.
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: This tube is non-weighted. It features a clear "Anti-Clog" distal bolus, which allows for visual inspection and utilizes specific port geometry to prevent formula buildup.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: High-grade medical polyurethane construction allows for thinner walls and a larger internal diameter compared to silicone, maximizing the flow of nutrients.
