This model is a 10 French, 36-inch (91 cm) tube. It features a 3-gram tungsten weight and is equipped with the modern ENFit safety connector. Notably, this specific configuration is provided without a stylet (guide wire), making it ideal for clinical environments where "blind" or manual weighted placement is preferred to reduce the risk of metal-related trauma.
Key Features
3-Gram Weighted Tip: Features a tungsten-weighted bolus to assist in tube placement and stability within the stomach. The weight helps minimize the risk of the tube being displaced by gastric motility.
Stylet-Free Insertion: This tube is intended for placement without a guide wire. It relies on the weight and the natural flexibility of the polyurethane, which is safer for patients with sensitive esophageal tissues.
ENFit Safety Connector: Equipped with the purple ISO-standard connector. This design is engineered to prevent accidental misconnections with IV lines, breathing circuits, or other non-enteral systems.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: High-grade material that is more durable than silicone. Its strength allows for thinner walls, maximizing the internal lumen for a 10 Fr size to ensure consistent flow.
Anti-Clog Technology: Features the ULTRA* anti-clog bolus tip. The exit port is designed to be slightly larger than the internal diameter of the tube to prevent formula or medication solids from occluding the tip.
Safety & Monitoring: The tube is fully radiopaque for X-ray confirmation and features centimeter markings to monitor for tube migration or displacement.
