Neonatal/Infant Sizing: At only 5 French and 15 inches long, this tube is specifically sized for the anatomy of premature infants and neonates.
Non-Styleted (No Wire): This tube does not include an insertion stylet. It is flexible enough to be inserted safely without a guide wire, reducing the risk of trauma to the delicate nasal and esophageal tissues of a newborn.
Sterile Packaging: While many NG tubes are clean but non-sterile, the 42-series is provided sterile, meeting the rigorous infection control standards often required in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: The absence of a weight ensures the tube is as lightweight as possible, minimizing pressure on the gastric mucosa.
