12 French "Mid-Bore" Diameter: Offers a larger internal lumen than the 8 Fr or 10 Fr versions. This is ideal for gravity feeding or for patients requiring thicker, fiber-enriched formulas.
7-Gram Tungsten Weight: The "pill-shaped" weighted tip is specifically designed to facilitate post-pyloric (small bowel) placement. The weight helps the tube navigate through the pylorus and remain stable in the duodenum or jejunum.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: This material is stronger than silicone, allowing for thinner tube walls and a larger internal diameter (ID) without increasing the external French size. It is also resistant to gastric acid and does not "stretch" over time.
Flow-Through Stylet: Included in the kit to provide the necessary rigidity for insertion. It features a "flow-through" head that allows for the injection of lubricant or water without removing the wire.
C-19* Lubricant: The internal lumen is pre-coated with a water-activated lubricant. Once hydrated, the stylet slides out smoothly, reducing the risk of tube displacement during stylet removal.
