8 French Versatility: The 8 Fr size is the "standard" for many hospitals. It is thin enough to be well-tolerated by patients during long-term nasogastric use while still providing adequate flow for continuous pump feeding.
Polyurethane Construction: Polyurethane's strength allows for thinner tube walls. This means the 8 Fr CORFLO* actually has a larger internal lumen than many competing silicone tubes of the same size, significantly reducing the risk of clogs.
Anti-Clog Bolus: The distal tip is designed so the exit port is slightly larger than the internal diameter of the tube. This prevents the "trap" effect where formula or medication solids accumulate and harden at the very end of the tube.
Flow-Through Stylet: The stylet allows clinicians to aspirate gastric contents or flush the tube with water while the wire is still inside, aiding in the confirmation of correct placement at the bedside.
C-19™ Lubricant: A water-activated lubricant on the tip and internal lumen facilitates a smoother insertion and ensures the stylet can be removed easily once placement is confirmed.
