Description
This model is a Sterile version of the non-weighted series, equipped with an integrated stylet and the modern ENFit safety connector. It is specifically designed for environments requiring sterile technique, such as the Operating Room (OR), or for patients with compromised immune systems.
Key Features
Sterile Packaging: Unlike standard enteral tubes, this kit is sterilized. This makes it appropriate for surgical placements or in clinical settings where the risk of infection must be strictly minimized.
Integrated Flow-Through Stylet: Includes a braided stainless steel stylet to provide the necessary rigidity for controlled placement. The "flow-through" design allows clinicians to aspirate for pH or check for air insufflation while the wire remains in the tube.
Non-Weighted / Clear Tip: Features a smooth, unweighted distal bolus. This design is often preferred for patient comfort and is ideal when clinicians do not require gravity-assisted passage into the small intestine.
ENFit Safety Connector: Features the purple ISO-standard connector designed to prevent accidental misconnections with IV lines, breathing circuits, or other non-enteral medical devices.
ULTRA-LITE Polyurethane:* High-grade material that is more durable than silicone. Its strength allows for thinner walls, maximizing the internal lumen for an 8 Fr size to ensure consistent flow of formula and medications.
Anti-Clog Technology: Equipped with an ULTRA anti-clog bolus* tip. The exit port is slightly larger than the tube's internal diameter, which helps prevent formula buildup and reduces the frequency of blockages.
