Description
This model is a 12 French, 43-inch (109 cm) tube. It features an integrated stylet to assist with placement and is equipped with the modern ENFit safety connector.
Key Features
12 French Large Bore: The larger diameter is ideal for the administration of viscous medications or higher-volume formula, significantly reducing the risk of clogging compared to 8 Fr or 10 Fr tubes.
Non-Weighted / Clear Tip: Features a smooth distal bolus without a tungsten weight. This design maximizes patient comfort during insertion and is preferred for standard gastric placement.
Integrated Flow-Through Stylet: Includes a braided stainless steel stylet to provide the necessary rigidity for controlled placement. The "flow-through" feature allows clinicians to perform pH testing or air insufflation while the wire is still in place.
ENFit Safety Connector: Equipped with the purple ISO-standard connector. This ensures the tube can only be used with enteral-specific equipment, preventing life-threatening misconnections with IV lines or other medical systems.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Constructed from medical-grade polyurethane, which is stronger than silicone or PVC. This allows for thinner tube walls and a larger internal lumen to maximize flow efficiency.
Anti-Clog Technology: Features the ULTRA* anti-clog bolus tip. The exit port is designed to be slightly larger than the internal diameter of the tube to prevent formula fats and medication solids from accumulating.
