Description
This model is a Sterile version of the weighted series, equipped with an integrated stylet and the ENFit safety connector. It is specifically designed for environments requiring sterile technique, such as the Operating Room (OR), or for patients with compromised immune systems who require a weighted tip for gastric or post-pyloric placement.
Key Features
Sterile Packaging: Unlike standard NG tubes, this kit is sterilized. This makes it suitable for surgical placements or clinical settings where minimizing infection risk is the highest priority.
3-Gram Weighted Tip: Features a tungsten-weighted bolus to assist the tube in maintaining its position within the stomach and to aid in natural migration toward the small intestine.
Integrated Flow-Through Stylet: Includes a braided stainless steel stylet for added rigidity during insertion. The "flow-through" feature allows clinicians to perform pH testing or check for air insufflation while the wire remains in the tube.
ENFit Safety Connector: Equipped with the purple ISO-standard connector. This design ensures the tube can only connect to enteral-specific sets, eliminating the risk of accidental connection to IV lines.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger and more kink-resistant than silicone. This material strength allows for thinner walls and a larger internal lumen for an 8 Fr size, ensuring better flow rates for formula.
Anti-Clog Technology: Features the ULTRA* anti-clog bolus tip. The exit port is designed to be slightly larger than the internal diameter of the tube to prevent formula or medication solids from occluding the tip.
