Description
This model is a non-weighted (clear tip) tube that includes an integrated stylet and utilizes the ENFit safety connector. Its 36-inch length is a versatile "mid-length" option, commonly used for larger pediatric patients, adolescents, or small-stature adults who require gastric access without the need for a weighted tip.
Key Features
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: The absence of a tungsten weight makes the tube lighter and more comfortable for patients. The clear distal bolus allows clinicians to easily inspect the tip for cleanliness or buildup.
Integrated Flow-Through Stylet: Includes a braided stainless steel stylet for necessary rigidity during insertion. The "flow-through" feature is a significant clinical advantage, as it allows for pH aspiration or air insufflation to verify placement while the stylet remains in place.
ENFit Safety Connector: Equipped with the purple ISO-standard connector. This design is engineered to prevent accidental misconnections between enteral systems and non-enteral systems like IV lines or respiratory equipment.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger and more durable than silicone, this material allows for thinner walls and a larger internal lumen. This maximizes flow rates and helps prevent clogs in this 8 Fr diameter.
Anti-Clog Technology: Features the ULTRA* anti-clog bolus tip. The exit port is designed to be slightly larger than the internal diameter of the tube to prevent formula fats and medication solids from accumulating at the tip.
Water-Activated Lubricant: The internal lumen and tip are lubricated with a water-activated coating (C-19*) to facilitate smoother stylet removal and easier insertion.
