Description
This is a specialized "Pull" method kit used by gastroenterologists and surgeons to place a permanent feeding tube through the abdominal wall under endoscopic guidance.
Key Features
Polyurethane Construction: Unlike the silicone MIC-KEY* tubes discussed earlier, the CORFLO* PEG is made of polyurethane. This allows for thinner walls and a larger inner lumen, which significantly reduces the risk of the tube clogging.
Traction Removable: The internal bumper is designed to collapse under specific pressure. This allows the tube to be removed via "traction" (pulling it out through the stoma) without needing a second endoscopic procedure.
ENFit Safety: The dual-access ports are designed to prevent misconnections with IV lines, ensuring only enteral feeding sets can be attached.
Radiopaque Stripe: The entire tube is visible under X-ray for position verification.
