Description

ANTI-IV* Safety Connector: This proprietary connector is designed to be incompatible with standard Luer-lock or Luer-slip syringes. It was an early safety innovation to ensure that enteral nutrition could not be accidentally connected to intravenous (IV) lines.
12 French Large Bore: As a 12 Fr tube, it features a wider internal diameter than the 8 or 10 Fr models. This makes it highly resistant to clogging and ideal for patients requiring viscous (thick) formulas or frequent administration of crushed medications.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: The tube comes pre-loaded with a stainless steel guide wire. This provides the necessary column strength for a controlled insertion. The stylet is lubricated with a water-activated lubricant and is removed once placement is confirmed.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: This material is stronger and more durable than silicone. It allows for thinner tube walls (maximizing flow) and resists collapse during aspiration for gastric residuals.
Non-Weighted Anti-Clog Tip: This tube is non-weighted and features a clear bolus with specialized port geometry designed to reduce the buildup of formula solids at the distal end.
