Description
This is the standard adult-length version of the CORTRAK-enabled feeding tubes. The "TRAK2" designation indicates it is designed to work with the CORTRAK* 2 Enteral Access System (EAS), which provides real-time, on-screen visualization of the tube's path during insertion.
Key Features
CORTRAK* 2 Real-Time Tracking: The stylet features a specialized electromagnetic coil at the tip. When used with the CORTRAK monitor, the clinician can see a "live" trace of the tube as it passes through the anatomy, allowing for immediate confirmation of gastric placement and helping to avoid the respiratory tract.
Adult Standard Length: The 43-inch (109 cm) length is designed to reach the stomach or the small intestine (post-pyloric) in most adult patients.
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: This tube does not have a tungsten weight. It is preferred for clinicians who use the tracking system to guide placement, offering a lighter and more comfortable tube for the patient once the stylet is removed.
ENFit Safety Connector: Equipped with the purple ISO-standard connector. This ensures the tube only connects to enteral administration sets, preventing accidental and potentially lethal misconnections with IV or respiratory lines.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger than silicone, this material allows for a larger internal lumen relative to the 10 Fr size, which maximizes flow and reduces the risk of formula or medication clogs.
