CORTRAK* 2 Navigation: The stylet contains an electromagnetic coil that communicates with the CORTRAK receiver. This allows clinicians to see a "live" trace of the tube on a monitor as it passes through the esophagus and into the stomach, providing immediate feedback to ensure correct placement and avoid the airway.
12 French Large Bore: This is the widest standard bore in the series. It is ideal for patients who require:
- High-viscosity (thick) formulas.
- Complex medication regimens (multiple crushed pills).
- Higher flow rates for bolus feeding.
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: This tube is non-weighted, making it lighter and often more comfortable for the patient once the stylet is removed. Since the CORTRAK system provides placement guidance, the mechanical "assistance" of a weight is often unnecessary.
ENFit Safety Connector: Equipped with the purple ISO 80369-3 standard connector. This prevents accidental "tubing misconnections" with IV lines, which is a critical safety standard in hospital settings.
