Description
This tube combines the real-time bedside visualization of the CORTRAK system with the high infection-control standards of the 42-series. It is a non-weighted (clear tip) tube designed for gastric placement, typically used for pediatric patients or small adults.
Key Features
CORTRAK* 2 Tracking Technology: The integrated stylet contains an electromagnetic transmitting coil. When used with the CORTRAK 2 monitor, it allows clinicians to see a "live" trace of the tube’s path, confirming gastric placement immediately and reducing the need for confirmatory X-rays.
Sterile Packaging: Unlike the 40-series (which is non-sterile), this 42-series model is provided sterile. This makes it the preferred choice for surgical suites, immunocompromised patients, or facilities with strict sterile-only protocols for invasive devices.
10 French Mid-Bore: Provides a balance between patient comfort and functional flow. It is wide enough to handle standard enteral formulas and liquid medications without the high risk of clogging seen in smaller 8 Fr tubes.
ENFit Safety Connector: Features the purple ISO 80369-3 standard connector. This critical safety design ensures the tube cannot be connected to IV lines or other non-enteral systems.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger than silicone, this material allows for a larger internal lumen relative to the 10 Fr size, maximizing flow efficiency and resisting kinks.
