This model is the sterile equivalent of the 40-9368TRAK2. It is specifically designed for pediatric patients or small adults in clinical environments that require both real-time bedside placement visualization and a sterile product (such as surgical units or for immunocompromised patients).

CORTRAK* 2 Real-Time Visualization: The stylet contains an electromagnetic coil at the tip. When used with the CORTRAK 2 monitor, it provides a "live" trace of the tube’s path during insertion, confirming gastric placement immediately and helping to avoid the respiratory tract.
Sterile Packaging: As part of the 42-series, this tube is provided sterile. This is a critical distinction from the 40-series, making it suitable for high-acuity environments with strict infection control protocols.
8 French Small-Bore: The narrow diameter is optimized for patient comfort and reduced nasal irritation, making it a preferred choice for children or smaller adults.
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: The tube is non-weighted. Since the CORTRAK system provides placement guidance, the mechanical weight often used for blind placement is unnecessary, allowing the tube to be lighter and more flexible.
ENFit Safety Connector: Features the purple ISO 80369-3 standard connector to prevent accidental misconnections with IV lines or other non-enteral devices.
