Description
The Avanos 60219 is a CB-X™ II Dual-Ended Cleaning Brush. It is the largest model in the dual-ended series, specifically designed for the high-efficiency cleaning of therapeutic and large-channel endoscopes.
By featuring a brush at both ends, it allows reprocessing technicians to scrub long internal channels and smaller external components (like valve seats) with a single tool.
Key Features
Dual-Ended Versatility: One end is typically optimized for passing through long biopsy or umbilicus channels, while the other features a specialized brush head for scrubbing valve seats, ports, and buttons.
Large 6 mm Bristle Diameter: This is the largest bristle size available in the line, providing the necessary surface contact and friction to clean "large-bore" therapeutic endoscopes where 4 mm or 5 mm brushes would be too loose.
Cable-Assisted Design: The internal polypropylene catheter is reinforced with a cable to provide the structural integrity needed to push through long channels without buckling.
Flexible Distal Tip: Designed to navigate the tight turns and "elbows" within the endoscope's internal anatomy without causing scratches or damage to the delicate channel lining.
Maximum Surface Contact: Features 14 rows of durable nylon bristles to ensure the thorough mechanical removal of biofilm and organic debris.

Primary Uses
Therapeutic Endoscope Reprocessing: Specifically used for large-channel scopes (e.g., ERCP scopes or therapeutic gastroscopes) where a 6 mm diameter is required for an effective scrub.
Manual Pre-Cleaning: Used during the critical manual cleaning phase to remove the majority of biological material before the scope is placed in an Automated Endoscope Reprocessor (AER).
Biofilm Disruption: Essential for physically breaking down the protective layers of biofilm that can form inside scope channels if they are not scrubbed immediately after use.
