Description
The Avanos EBL22050SGC is an ECHOBRIGHT Single-Shot Stimulating Needle*. Like the 100 mm version, this needle is designed for ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia but features a shorter shaft for more superficial nerve targets.
The "ECHOBRIGHT" technology specifically addresses the difficulty of visualizing needles under ultrasound, providing high-definition reflection even when the needle is at a steep angle.

Key Features
360° Echogenic Pattern: The needle is laser-etched with a unique pattern across the entire shaft. This reflects ultrasound waves directly back to the probe, ensuring the needle is visible from the point of entry all the way to the tip.
Dual Guidance Capability: It comes with a pre-attached stimulating cable, allowing the clinician to use ultrasound for visual guidance while simultaneously using electrical stimulation (nerve mapping) to confirm nerve proximity.
Short-Bevel Tip: The 21° facet bevel provides the clinician with "tactile feedback," allowing them to feel the needle passing through different tissue layers (fascia) for more accurate placement.
Graduated Markings: Features numerical depth markings on the shaft to help the physician monitor and control the depth of penetration during the procedure.
Integrated Infusion Set: Includes clear tubing for the immediate delivery of anesthetic once the target nerve has been identified.
Primary Uses
This 50 mm needle is used for Single-Shot Peripheral Nerve Blocks (PNB) where the target nerve is relatively close to the surface, such as:
Interscalene Blocks: For shoulder and upper arm surgeries.
Supraclavicular Blocks: For procedures on the arm, from the mid-humerus to the hand.
Femoral Nerve Blocks: Often used for pain management in knee replacements or hip fractures.
TAP (Transversus Abdominis Plane) Blocks: For abdominal wall anesthesia.
