The 7.0 mm (0250-18) is a standard "workhorse" size in many hospitals, particularly for adult female patients or adolescent males. It is used during general anesthesia and in Intensive Care Units (ICU) for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
Because the cuff is made of polyurethane, it maintains its sealing integrity better than PVC when the patient's head is moved or when the tube is manipulated, making it a preferred choice for high-risk or long-term intubations.
