The 10250 is an Avanos Laparoscopic Introducer Kit* specifically sized for the primary surgical placement of 18 Fr MIC* or MIC-KEY* Gastrostomy Feeding Tubes.
This kit is part of the surgical line designed for use by surgeons under laparoscopic visualization to create a secure stoma and insert a feeding tube with precision.
Key Features
22 Fr Serial Dilator: This kit features a larger telescoping dilator that expands the tract to 22 Fr, providing the correct diameter for the seamless insertion of an 18 Fr balloon-retained tube.
SAF-T-PEXY with T-Fasteners:* Includes a gastrointestinal anchor set with four pre-loaded T-fasteners. These are used to "pexy" the stomach wall to the abdominal wall, which is a critical safety step to ensure the stomach remains in contact with the abdominal wall while the tract heals.
Peel-Away Sheath: The dilator is integrated with a sheath that can be easily removed once the feeding tube is properly positioned, minimizing trauma to the newly created stoma.
Precision Measurement: Includes an over-the-wire stoma measuring device to determine the exact length of the tract, ensuring the patient receives a tube with the correct "bolus" or shaft length.
Safety Engineered: Equipped with an 18 G safety introducer needle and a safety scalpel to protect the surgical team from sharps injuries.
