Description
The 10230 is an Avanos Laparoscopic Introducer Kit* for Gastrostomy Feeding Tubes. Unlike the infusion pumps and RF probes we discussed, this kit is used for the primary surgical placement of enteral feeding tubes, such as the MIC* and MIC-KEY* brands.
It is specifically designed for laparoscopic procedures, providing all the essential tools for a secure, less invasive stoma creation and tube insertion.
Key Features
SAF-T-PEXY with T-Fasteners:* Includes a gastrointestinal anchor set with four pre-loaded T-fasteners. These are used to "pexy" (secure) the stomach wall to the anterior abdominal wall, ensuring a safe tract for the feeding tube.
Serial Dilator with Peel-Away Sheath: Features a telescoping dilator that allows the clinician to reach the desired stoma size with a single device. The integrated peel-away sheath facilitates the easy insertion of the balloon-retained feeding tube.
Over-the-Wire Stoma Measuring Device: A specialized tool designed to accurately measure the length of the stoma tract. This ensures the physician selects the correct tube size for a proper fit and maximum patient comfort.
Safety Components: Includes an 18 G safety introducer needle and a safety scalpel to protect healthcare workers from accidental needle sticks during the procedure.
Laparoscopic Optimized: The tools are designed for visual accuracy under laparoscopic guidance, making the placement of 14 Fr diameter tubes efficient and precise.
