Description

The 10237 is an Avanos MIC-KEY G Tube Introducer Kit** designed for Radiologic (Fluoroscopic) placement. Unlike the 10230, which is for laparoscopic surgery, this kit is tailored for Interventional Radiologists who place gastrostomy tubes under X-ray guidance.

It is specifically designed for the placement of 14 Fr MIC-KEY* or MIC* Gastrostomy Feeding Tubes.

Key Features

  • SAF-T-PEXY with T-Fasteners:* Contains a gastrointestinal anchor set with four pre-loaded T-fasteners. These secure the stomach wall to the abdominal wall (pexy), creating a stable tract and preventing the stomach from pulling away during the procedure.

  • Radiopaque Dilator & Sheath: The serial dilator and peel-away sheath are visible under fluoroscopy, allowing the radiologist to track the depth and position of the instruments in real-time.

  • Telescoping Dilator: Features a "serial" dilator design that allows the clinician to expand the stoma tract to the required size incrementally without having to swap out multiple individual dilators.

  • Stoma Measuring Device: Includes an over-the-wire measuring tool to determine the exact length of the stoma tract. This is critical for selecting the correct "shaft length" of a low-profile MIC-KEY* tube to prevent gastric leakage or pressure necrosis.

  • Safety Focused: Includes a safety needle and safety scalpel to minimize the risk of sharps injuries in the procedure room.
