Key Features
Low-Volume (LV) Balloon: The balloon is engineered to sit flatter and take up significantly less space within the stomach. This prevents "gastric outlet obstruction," where a standard-sized balloon might inadvertently block the path to the small intestine in a small child.
Low-Profile Design: Unlike the long "0210" tubes, the MIC-KEY* sits flush against the skin (the "button" style). This makes it nearly invisible under clothing and reduces the risk of accidental "pull-outs" by active children.
Proximal Anti-Reflux Valve: Located inside the head of the button, this one-way valve prevents stomach contents from leaking out when an extension set is not connected.
Radiopaque Stripe: A high-visibility line allows clinicians to confirm the position of the tube via X-ray without needing to inject contrast.
Tapered Distal Tip: The tip is designed to be recessed when the balloon is inflated, protecting the sensitive stomach lining from mechanical irritation or "poking."
