The Avanos 0100-12LV is a MIC* Gastrostomy (G) Feeding Tube. It is a traditional-length (long) tube designed for patients who require long-term enteral nutrition, medication delivery, or gastric decompression directly into the stomach.
The "LV" designation stands for Low Volume, which refers to its smaller balloon capacity. This makes it an ideal choice for pediatric patients or small infants whose stomach capacity cannot accommodate a standard-sized retention balloon.

12 French Diameter: This is the smallest standard diameter in the MIC* G-tube series, specifically sized for neonatal or pediatric use.
Low Volume (LV) Balloon: The internal silicone retention balloon has a recommended fill volume of 2–3 mL (though some clinical settings may use up to 5 mL). This prevents the balloon from obstructing the gastric outlet in smaller patients.
Tapered Distal Tip: Unlike the larger sizes in the 0100 series, which often have a recessed tip, the 12LV model features a tapered distal tip. This design assists with easier insertion into small stoma tracts.
