Simultaneous Decompression and Feeding: The low-profile base has two distinct ports. You can vent or drain the stomach through the Gastric port while providing continuous nutrition through the Jejunal port.
Tungsten-Weighted Tip: The distal tip of the 22 cm jejunal segment is weighted with tungsten. This helps the tube pass through the pylorus and stay in place within the jejunum, preventing it from "migrating" back into the stomach.
Anti-Reflux Valves: Both ports contain internal one-way valves. These automatically close when extension sets are removed, preventing the leakage of stomach acid or formula onto the patient or clothing.
Clear Port Labeling: The ports are clearly marked "GASTRIC" and "JEJUNAL" to ensure that the correct extension sets are used and that nutrition is not accidentally delivered into the stomach.
Radiopaque Stripe: A built-in line runs the entire length of the tube, from the external base to the 22 cm tip. This allows clinicians to confirm correct placement via X-ray or fluoroscopy.
Tapered Exit Ports: The jejunal segment features multiple distal holes to ensure formula delivery is not interrupted even if one hole becomes partially blocked.
