Ultra-Long 45 cm Segment: This is the longest jejunal tail manufactured for the MIC-KEY* line. It is used primarily in tall adults or patients where the tube must be placed very distal to the pylorus to prevent it from "flipping" back into the stomach.
Simultaneous Access Ports:
- Gastric Port: Allows for decompression (venting) and drainage of the stomach.
- Jejunal Port: Dedicated for the delivery of continuous enteral nutrition.
Tungsten-Weighted Tip: The end of the 45 cm tail is weighted with tungsten to help gravity and peristalsis maintain the tube’s position in the small intestine.
Internal Anti-Reflux Valves: Both ports are equipped with one-way valves that prevent the leakage of gastric or intestinal fluids when extension sets are removed.
Full-Length Radiopacity: A radiopaque stripe runs the entire 45 cm length, ensuring clinicians can verify the tip’s location using X-ray or fluoroscopy.
