Description

Maximum Jejunal Reach: The 45 cm tail is the longest in the MIC-KEY* line, specifically designed to stay deep in the small intestine. This prevents "retrograde migration," where the tube flips back into the stomach.
Dual-Port Functionality:
- Gastric Port (White): Used for decompression (venting gas) or draining gastric contents.
- Jejunal Port (Green): Specifically for continuous enteral nutrition directly into the jejunum.
Tungsten-Weighted Tip: The distal end of the 45 cm segment is weighted with tungsten to assist natural peristalsis in maintaining the tube's position distal to the pylorus.
Anti-Reflux Valves: Both ports contain internal valves to prevent the backflow of stomach acid or formula when extension sets are disconnected.
Full-Length Radiopacity: A radiopaque stripe runs from the base to the 45 cm tip, allowing for verification of the entire tube path under X-ray or fluoroscopy.
