The Avanos 98433 is a MIC-KEY Gastrostomy Feeding Tube Introducer Kit*. This kit is used by clinicians for the initial placement of balloon-retained gastrostomy tubes, specifically the 18 Fr MIC* and MIC-KEY* brands.
It is designed to facilitate a percutaneous "direct puncture" approach, allowing for a safer and more efficient creation of the stoma tract while ensuring the stomach is properly anchored to the abdominal wall.
