Description
The Avanos 0120-14-2.5 is a MIC-KEY* G Low-Profile Gastrostomy Feeding Tube. This is a "button" style tube designed to sit flush against the skin, offering a discreet and comfortable alternative to traditional long feeding tubes.
The 0120 prefix designates the individual feeding tube (often sold as a replacement) rather than the full safety kit (which uses the 2120 prefix).
Key Features
14 French Diameter: A mid-sized bore tube commonly used for pediatric patients, teenagers, and small adults. It is wider than the 12 Fr, allowing for easier flow of formula and medication.
2.5 cm Stoma Length: This is the measurement of the tube's shaft that sits within the stoma tract (the distance from the surface of the skin to the inside of the stomach wall). A 2.5 cm length is a standard size for older children or adults with a moderate amount of abdominal tissue.
Low-Profile "Button" Design: Sits flat against the abdomen, which reduces the profile under clothing and minimizes the risk of the tube being accidentally snagged or pulled.
