Description
The Avanos 0122-02 is a MIC* Gastro-Jejunal (G-J) Feeding Tube. It is a specialized, traditional-length tube designed for patients who require simultaneous gastric decompression (venting the stomach) and jejunal feeding (delivering nutrition directly into the small intestine).
This tube is used when a patient cannot tolerate food in the stomach due to gastroparesis, obstruction, or severe reflux, but still requires a port to drain gastric fluids or administer medications into the stomach.

16 French Outer Diameter: The main body of the tube that passes through the stoma is 16 Fr.
45 cm Jejunal Length: The internal jejunal portion of the tube extends 45 cm from the stomach into the small intestine to ensure proper nutrient absorption.
Triple-Port Design:
Gastric (G) Port: For decompression, drainage of gastric contents, or medication.
Jejunal (J) Port: For continuous or bolus delivery of nutritional formula into the small bowel.
Balloon Port: A dedicated port (color-coded) for inflating the internal retention balloon.
7–10 mL Retention Balloon: A medical-grade silicone balloon that anchors the tube against the stomach wall.

Radiopaque Stripe & Tungsten Weighted Tip: A longitudinal line runs the length of the tube for X-ray visibility. The jejunal tip is weighted with tungsten to help maintain its position within the small intestine and prevent "migration" back into the stomach.
