Description
The Avanos 0136-20 is a MIC* PEG Bolus Feeding Adapter. Unlike the previous items which were complete feeding tubes or extension sets, this is a replacement component specifically for the MIC* Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Feeding Tube.
It is used to replace the original feeding port at the end of the PEG tube if it becomes worn, clogged, or damaged over time.
Key Features
20 French Size: Specifically designed for use with the 20 Fr MIC* PEG Feeding Tube. The adapter is sized to fit snugly into the end of the 20 Fr tubing to maintain a leak-proof connection.
Bolus Connector: Features a single, wide-bore "bolus" (catheter-tip) port. This is optimized for patients who receive their nutrition via a syringe or for the administration of crushed medications.
Replacement Part: This component allows caregivers to restore a tube's function without needing to replace the entire PEG tube surgically.
