Description
The 7160-14 is a complete system used by clinicians for the primary endoscopic placement of a gastrostomy tube. The "Pull" method involves guiding the tube through the esophagus and out the abdominal wall using a placement wire.
Key Features
Medical-Grade Silicone: Constructed from high-clarity silicone to remain flexible and biocompatible for long-term use.
Traction Removable: Features a collapsible internal dome bumper. This allows the tube to be removed via firm traction through the stoma once the tract is fully healed, often avoiding the need for a second endoscopic procedure.
SECUR-LOK External Bolster:* A sliding retention ring with integrated spacers that allow air to circulate around the stoma site, reducing moisture buildup and skin irritation.
Radiopaque Stripe: A built-in line that is visible under X-ray or fluoroscopy to verify the tube’s internal position.
Dual Feeding Adapters: Includes interchangeable ports to accommodate both standard feeding pump sets and large bolus syringes.
