Description
The 7180-14 is a comprehensive system designed for the primary endoscopic placement of a Gastro-Jejunal (GJ) tube. This specialized tube allows for simultaneous access to both the stomach and the small intestine. It is typically used for patients who require jejunal feeding for nutrition but also need gastric access for decompression or medication administration.
Key Features
Dual-Port Access: Features separate ports for gastric and jejunal access. This allows for feeding into the small intestine while simultaneously venting or draining the stomach.
Tapered Distal Tip: The jejunal portion of the tube is tapered to facilitate easier advancement through the pylorus and into the jejunum.
Traction Removable: Designed with a collapsible internal dome bumper that allows for removal via firm traction through the stoma once the tract has matured.
SECUR-LOK External Bolster:* A sliding retention ring that secures the tube at the skin surface. Integrated ventilation spacers allow air to reach the skin, minimizing moisture buildup and maceration.
Multiple Radiopaque Markers: The tube features high-contrast markers at both the gastric and jejunal sections to ensure accurate placement and easy verification via X-ray.
