Description
The 7180-20 is the 20 French version of the MIC* GJ Feeding Tube kit. This specialized device is used for primary endoscopic placement to provide simultaneous access to both the stomach and the small intestine. At 20 Fr, it is the standard size for adult patients, offering a larger diameter to facilitate easier gastric decompression and more reliable jejunal feeding.
Key Features
Dual-Port Functionality: Equipped with separate ports for gastric and jejunal access. This allows for feeding into the jejunum while simultaneously venting or draining the stomach.
Tapered Distal Tip: The jejunal portion of the tube is tapered to assist in the smooth advancement through the pylorus and into the small intestine.
Traction Removable: Features a collapsible internal dome bumper, allowing the tube to be removed via firm traction once the stoma tract has matured, typically avoiding a follow-up endoscopic removal.
SECUR-LOK External Bolster:* A sliding retention ring that holds the tube at the skin surface. Integrated ventilation spacers allow air to reach the skin, reducing moisture buildup and the risk of stoma-site infection.
Advanced Radiopacity: Features high-contrast markers at both the gastric and jejunal sections, ensuring the physician can verify accurate placement of both ends under X-ray or fluoroscopy.
