Features of the MSA V-Gard Slotted Protective Hard Cap:



  • V-Gard Protective Caps and Hats from MSA consist of a polyethylene shell and suspension system working together as a protection system. 

  • Features advanced styling in either cap or hat styles, with the cap available in three sizes: small (6 - 7 1/8), standard (6 1/2 - 8) and large (7 - 8 1/2). 

  • V-Gard Caps and Hats meet or exceed the applicable requirements for a Type I helmet (top impact) as outlined in ANSI Z89.1 1997,Class E and G.


Caution:  



  • MSA’s Vanguard Type II protective helmets are so designed and must be used if lateral protection is desired

  • Do not mix suspension and helmet size. 

  • Make sure the sizes match use only MSA suspensions on an MSA caps or hats. 

  • Failure to comply will reduce the energy-absorbing ability of the protective hat or cap.

  • Use only MSA suspensions on an MSA helmet. Failure to comply with the above will reduce the energy-absorbing ability of the protective helmet, which can result in serious injury or death

  • V-Gard Caps and Hats are not specifically designed to protect against lateral blows from the front, side, or rear
