40 cm Length (Short): The standard "Short" length for neonatal and infant patients, designed to minimize external tubing and reduce dead space.
Ultra-Soft Silicone Construction: Stays soft and flexible immediately upon insertion. Unlike polyurethane, it does not require body heat to soften, making it ideal for the most fragile mucosal tissues. It is validated for an indwell time of up to 30 days.
Legacy "EO" Hub: Features the signature orange NeoMed* connector. It is a non-threaded, "Enteral Only" slip-style hub designed for legacy syringes. It is not compatible with threaded purple ENFit® syringes without an adapter.
Anti-Colonization Design:
- Open Distal Tip: Features a rounded, smooth open end with three precision-drilled side ports. This "smooth-flow" design avoids sharp edges and eliminates stagnant "dead zones" where bacteria can colonize.
- Aseptic Hub & Plug: The "bottomless" hub prevents breast milk or formula from pooling in internal crevices, helping to mitigate bacterial growth at the connection site.
