Description
Key Features
6 French Small-Bore Diameter: A dedicated pediatric size that balances patient comfort with functional flow. It is thin enough to minimize airway resistance in infants but more resistant to kinking than ultra-thin 5 Fr tubes.
1.5-Gram Tungsten Weight: A lightweight bolus designed to provide just enough gravity to keep the tube tip anchored in the stomach (gastric floor), reducing the risk of accidental migration back into the esophagus.
22-Inch (55 cm) Neonatal Length: The standard length for neonates and infants, ensuring the tube reaches the stomach without excessive external tubing that could become a safety hazard.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a pre-inserted stainless steel guide wire. Because 6 Fr polyurethane is very flexible, the stylet provides the necessary "pushability" for a controlled bedside insertion; it is removed immediately after placement is confirmed.
Universal / Legacy Connector: Features the traditional stepped ("Christmas tree") connector.
Note: If your facility has transitioned to the purple ISO-standard safety connectors, the ENFit® version is part number 40-9226.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Medical-grade, radiopaque material that is stronger than silicone. This allows for thinner walls and a larger internal lumen to maximize the flow of nutrition.
C-19* Water-Activated Lubricant: An internal and external coating that becomes highly slippery when wet, facilitating a smoother insertion and easier removal of the stylet.
