This is the small-bore, adult-length version of the CORFLO* line. It is the preferred choice for adult patients who require long-term gastric access but have sensitive nasal passages or a high risk of nasal mucosal breakdown.
Key Features
8 French Small-Bore: The thinnest standard diameter for adult patients. It is designed to maximize patient comfort and minimize the risk of pressure ulcers in the nostrils. It is best suited for standard, low-viscosity enteral formulas.
Standard Adult Length (43 in): At 109 cm, this tube provides the necessary reach to pass through the nasopharynx and esophagus into the stomach of an average-sized adult.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a pre-inserted stainless steel guide wire. Because 8 Fr polyurethane is very flexible, the stylet is essential for providing the "pushability" needed for a successful bedside insertion.
ENFit Safety Connector: Features the purple ISO-standard connector. This ensures the tube cannot be accidentally connected to an IV line or other non-enteral systems, a critical safety feature in hospital settings.
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: This tube is non-weighted. The clear distal bolus allows clinicians to visually confirm that the tube is clear of formula or medication residue during routine maintenance.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger than silicone, this material allows for thinner tube walls and a larger internal lumen relative to its small 8 Fr size. It is fully radiopaque for X-ray confirmation.
