Key Features
12 French Diameter: This is a slightly wider tube than the common 8 Fr or 10 Fr models. The larger lumen is particularly helpful for administering crushed medications or thicker high-protein formulas that might otherwise clog a smaller tube.
Anti-Clog Bolus: The distal tip features a "bowed" design where the outlet port is physically larger than the internal diameter of the tube. This prevents the "trap" effect where solids accumulate at the very end of the tube.
Polyurethane Durability: Polyurethane is stronger than silicone, allowing the tube walls to be thinner while maintaining high kink resistance. This results in a more comfortable insertion and a longer functional life for the tube.
Flow-Through Stylet: The included stylet allows you to flush the tube or check for gastric aspirate (using a compatible syringe) without having to remove the wire. This helps confirm the tube is in the stomach before the final "pull" of the stylet.
C-19™ Lubricant: A water-activated lubricant is applied to both the tip and the internal lumen. This ensures that the stylet slides out easily and reduces friction against the nasal mucosa during placement.
