Description
Key Features
8 French Small-Bore Diameter: Offers a larger internal diameter than the 5 Fr or 6 Fr neonatal tubes. This makes it the best choice for administering crushed medications or high-viscosity pediatric formulas while maintaining the appropriate length for a small patient.
1.5-Gram Tungsten Weight: A lightweight distal bolus that helps anchor the tube tip in the gastric floor. This prevents the tube from migrating upward into the esophagus due to patient movement or reflux.
22-Inch (55 cm) Length: Sized specifically for infants and young children to reach the stomach without excessive external tubing that could become a safety hazard or be easily pulled.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a pre-inserted stainless steel guide wire. The stylet provides the necessary "pushability" for a controlled bedside insertion and is removed once the tube's position is verified via X-ray.
Universal / Legacy Connector: Equipped with the traditional stepped ("Christmas tree") connector for use with older administration sets.
Note: For the purple ISO-standard safety connector, the ENFit® version is 40-9228.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Medical-grade, radiopaque material that is stronger than silicone. This durability allows for thinner walls, maximizing the internal lumen for better flow rates.
Water-Activated Lubricant: The internal lumen and distal tip are coated with a lubricant that becomes highly slippery when wet, facilitating a smoother insertion and easier removal of the stylet.
