Description
Key Features
8 French Small-Bore Diameter: The smallest standard adult diameter, offering maximum patient comfort and reducing the risk of nasal mucosal irritation during long-term use.
3-Gram Tungsten Weight: A light distal weight that helps anchor the tube in the gastric floor, preventing the tip from migrating upward while remaining small enough for easy passage.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a pre-inserted stainless steel guide wire. Since 8 Fr polyurethane is very flexible, the stylet is essential to provide the "pushability" needed for accurate bedside placement.
Universal / Legacy Connector: Features the traditional stepped ("Christmas tree") connector.
Note: If your facility uses the purple safety standard, the ENFit® version is 40-7438.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger than silicone, this material allows for thinner walls and a larger internal lumen relative to its size, ensuring better flow of formula.
Radiopaque and Marked: The entire tube and the 3g tungsten weight are fully visible under X-ray. Centimeter markings allow clinical staff to monitor for accidental tube migration.
Water-Activated Lubricant: The internal lumen and distal tip are coated with a lubricant that becomes highly slippery when wet, facilitating smoother insertion and easier removal of the stylet.
