Key Features

  • 8 French Small-Bore Diameter: The thinnest standard diameter for adult patients. It is ideal for those with narrow or sensitive nasal passages, significantly reducing the risk of pressure-related discomfort or mucosal breakdown.

  • 3-Gram Pill-Shape Tungsten Weight: Features a smooth, rounded distal weight designed to be less "blunt" than standard bolus tips. This shape aids in comfortable passage through the nasopharynx and helps anchor the tube in the gastric floor.

  • Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a pre-inserted stainless steel guide wire. Since 8 Fr polyurethane is very flexible, the stylet is necessary to provide the "pushability" needed to guide the tube into place during bedside insertion.

  • Universal / Legacy Connector: This model features the traditional stepped ("Christmas tree") connector.

    Note: If your facility has transitioned to the purple ISO-standard safety connectors, the ENFit® version is part number 40-6438.

  • ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger and more durable than silicone, this material allows for thinner walls and a larger internal lumen. This ensures that even with an 8 Fr size, the flow of formula is maximized and the risk of clogging is minimized.

  • Radiopaque and Marked: The entire tube and the weighted tip are visible under X-ray for placement verification. Centimeter markings along the length allow clinical staff to easily monitor the tube for accidental migration.

  • Water-Activated Lubricant: The internal lumen and tip are coated with a lubricant that becomes highly slippery when wet, facilitating a smoother insertion and easier removal of the stylet once the tube is positioned.
