Description
Key Features
8 French Small-Bore Diameter: The smallest standard adult diameter, chosen to maximize patient comfort and reduce the risk of nasal irritation during long-term placement.
7-Gram Tungsten Weight: A medium-heavy weight at the distal tip. This provides significant gravitational assistance to help the tube pass through the pylorus and remain stable in the duodenum or jejunum.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a pre-inserted stainless steel guide wire. Because 8 Fr polyurethane is highly flexible, the stylet is essential for providing the "pushability" required for accurate bedside insertion.
Universal / Legacy Connector: Features the legacy stepped ("Christmas tree") connector.
Note: If your facility uses the purple safety standard, the ENFit® version of this tube is 40-4438.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger than silicone, this material allows for thinner walls and a larger internal lumen relative to its size, ensuring better flow of formula.
Radiopaque and Marked: The entire tube and weighted tip are visible on X-ray. Centimeter markings allow clinical staff to monitor for displacement.
Water-Activated Lubricant: The internal lumen and tip are coated with a lubricant that becomes slippery when wet, facilitating smoother insertion and easier stylet removal.
