The Avanos 20-1431 is a 10 French, 43-inch (109 cm) CORFLO* Nasogastric (NG) Feeding Tube with an ENFit connector.
This model is the standard adult length, styleted, and non-sterile version of the CORFLO line. It is one of the most frequently used tubes for adult patients in general medical and surgical wards who require gastric feeding or medication administration.
Key Features
Standard Adult Length (43 in): The 109 cm length is designed to reach the stomach of an average adult with sufficient external tubing for securement and connection to a feeding set.
10 French Mid-Bore: Provides an excellent balance between patient comfort and functional flow. It is the "gold standard" for adult feeding, as it is wide enough to resist clogging from most formulas while remaining flexible and easy to insert.
Integrated Insertion Stylet: Includes a pre-inserted stainless steel guide wire. This provides the necessary "pushability" for a controlled insertion. Once the tube's position is confirmed, the stylet is removed and discarded.
ENFit Safety Connector: Features the purple ISO 80369-3 standard connector. This ensures the tube is incompatible with IV equipment, preventing accidental misconnections.
Non-Weighted (Clear) Tip: This tube is non-weighted. The clear distal bolus allows for visual inspection to ensure the ports are clear of formula residue or medication buildup.
ULTRA-LITE* Polyurethane: Stronger than silicone, allowing for thinner walls and a larger internal lumen. It is medical-grade, radiopaque (visible on X-ray), and designed for use for up to 30 days.
